The OGA-01 is the first single-channel industrial optical gauge amplifier intended to compete against traditional strain gauge amplifiers. Featuring both static and dynamic measurement capabilities, the OGA-01 provides high accuracy measurements from a single fiber optical gauge sensor that exceeds the performance of competing strain gauge technologies in harsh environments.
The OGA-01 is designed to be paired with a Fibos optical gauge sensor (OGS), which is designed for harsh environments. Both intrinsically safe and immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI), the OGS can replace and outperform many traditional strain gauge solutions currently available.

The OGS is manufactured in proven telecommunications optical fiber and is offered in two variants; standard temperature and ultra-high temperature range. The OGS can repeatedly measure strain from -200°C to 1000°C, while remaining EMI and radiation immune and intrinsically safe.
Depending on the operating temperature, different coatings are available. For standard applications, acrylate or polyimide can be used. For ultra-high temperature applications, a copper or gold coated fiber is recommended to ensure mechanical stability of the cable exiting the ultra-high temperature environment.
Depending on the transducer application, Fibos can optimize the gauge length, fiber length, fiber coating, cable jack or connector to ensure every application has the ideal optical sensing solution.
